John Kissel

John Kissel has a long and varied work experience. John began their professional career in 2008 as a Retail Sales Associate/Cashier at Blockbuster, where they were responsible for inventory work and store upkeep. In 2009, they were the editor for the seven-minute non-fiction film "RAW", which was shown in a public screening and complimented for its editing. In 2011, they were the editor for a student film focusing on the clash between Urban American society and Rural American religious views. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Boom Microphone Operator for Gaffney Film LTD., a Production Representative for Ascent Services Group, a Media Services Crew Member for the City of Des Plaines, and a Video Editor/Videographer for The Beachwaver Co. In 2016, they also began working as a Content Producer for Weigel Broadcasting Co. and as a Senior Video Editor for CurlMix.

John Kissel attended Harper College from 2006 to 2008, and then went on to the University of Iowa, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies in 2011.
