Dr. Alia Ali, MD

Supervising Medical Physician and Operations Liaison at Curology

Dr. Alia Ali, MD has had a varied and extensive work experience since 2013. Dr. Alia began their career as a Doctor/Resident at the University of Toronto in 2013. In 2016, they completed a Supplemental Emergency Medicine Experience/Fellowship at the University of Toronto. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a Medical Doctor at various medical clinics in the Metro Toronto Area, including HealthCare Plus Family Practice Clinic, Immigrant Women's Health Centre, and Oakridges Urgent Care Centre. During this time, they managed ongoing patient medical care and outpatient treatment for newborn to elderly care, conducted a mix of acute, chronic and well visits, and performed in office procedures. In 2018, they began working as a Medical Doctor at One Medical, where they treated patients in office and managed a patient panel with a broad array of adult patient needs. Dr. Alia also began working at Good Doctors Medical, where they conducted tele-health visits and managed a broad array of patient needs. In 2020, they joined Curology as a Supervising Medical Physician and Operations Liaison, where they collaborated on cross-functional projects such as R&D, quality initiatives, medical protocols and operational improvements. Dr. Alia also served as a Lab Supervising Physician, managing compounding lab operations to ensure quality, safety and compliance of all compounded products.

Dr. Alia Ali, MD has an extensive education history. Dr. Alia obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Wayne State University School of Medicine from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, they received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the University of Windsor from 2005 to 2008. Dr. Alia also attended the University of London School of Pharmacy from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, they obtained their Doctor of Medicine - MD from the University of Toronto. Dr. Ali has also obtained several certifications, including Board of Certification in Family Medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine in November 2020, CCFP from The College of Family Physicians of Canada in June 2015, MCCQE 1, USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2 CK, USMLE Step 2 CS, and USMLE Step 3 from USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination).
