Paul Basham FCA has been working in the finance industry since 2003. Paul began their career as General Manager & Company Secretary at Ionic Information Ltd t/a ShareScope. Paul then moved on to become Finance Director at Percussion Software in 2006, where they were responsible for complex deferred revenue accounting. In 2008, they became Director of Finance Administration & Company Secretary at The Horticultural Trades Association, where they were responsible for Finance, IT and the National Garden Gift voucher business. In 2015, they were appointed Vice Principal - Finance and Resources at University College of Estate Management, focusing on financial sustainability, operational excellence and new work environment. In 2019, they became Chartered Accountant at Lighthouse Accounting Services, a Xero silver partner, and Finance Director at Currensea and untied. In 2020, they took on the role of Part Time and Portfolio Finance Director at EmergeONE.

Paul Basham FCA's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics from The University of Sheffield, obtained between 1990 and 1993, as well as GCSEs and A levels in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Art from Ilford County High School, obtained between 1983 and 1990. Additionally, they have obtained a number of certifications, including an Enhanced DBS with update service from the Disclosure and Barring Service DBS in 2015, an ICAEW Fellow (FCA) from ICAEW in 1999, a Xero Adviser Certification from Xero in 2019, and an ICAEW Practicing Certificate from ICAEW in 2019.
