Matthew Silvestri

Matthew Silvestri is an experienced educator specializing in English instruction and special education. Currently serving as an Online English Reading Tutor at Returnee English Online since 2012, Matthew supports students returning to Japan who wish to maintain their English skills. In addition, Matthew has been an Editor and Digital Content Developer at Curriculum Concepts International since 2014, leading projects to create Common Core-compliant materials for English learners. Previous roles include working as a Special Education Paraprofessional and a Private Tutor, where Matthew focused on individualized student support. Additional experience includes training medical staff on electronic health records at Geisinger Health System, a fourth-grade teaching internship, and co-instructing a STEM class for college-bound students at Boston College. Matthew holds a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor's Degree in English.
