Dr Katharina Wolf

Dr Katharina Wolf has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Dr Katharina began their career in 1996 as a Publishing Manager at Delius Klasing Verlag. In 2005, they joined Curtin University and held various positions including Sessional Academic, Public Relations and Marketing, Lecturer in Public Relations, Senior Lecturer & PR Course Coordinator, and currently as Associate Professor & Public Relations Lead since December 2019. Dr Katharina has also been involved in the GlobCom Project as the Australian Coordinator since February 2012. Dr Wolf has taken on leadership roles in the Public Relations Institute of Australia, including President, State Councillor & Immediate Past President, and Chairperson of various committees. Additionally, they were a Vice Chairperson and Committee Member at the Young Professionals Network in Western Australia.

Dr. Katharina Wolf has a diverse education history. In 1993, they completed their German Abitur at Kollegschule Bethel, specializing in Bilingual Secretary studies. Dr Katharina then pursued a Berufsausbildung/Moden Apprenticeship at Industrie- und Handelskammmer Ostwestfahlen zu Bielefeld, specializing in Verlagskaufrau/Publishing Manager, with their final exam in front of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 1996.

In 2001, Dr. Wolf obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree (1st cl) in Media & Communication Studies and Spanish Studies from the University of Wolverhampton. Dr Katharina furthered their education with a Master of Arts Degree in Public Relations from The Manchester Metropolitan University in 2004.

Continuing their academic journey, Dr. Wolf completed a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching at Curtin University in 2008. In 2013, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Murdoch University.

Throughout their career, Dr. Wolf has also received various certifications. Dr Katharina became an Accredited Practitioner & Member of the CIPR – Chartered Institute of Public Relations in 2002. In 2014, they were recognized as an Inaugural Fellow of Curtin Academy. Additionally, they obtained a Fellowship from the Public Relations Institute of Australia in 2015 and a Senior Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy/Advance HE (SHEA) in 2018. Most recently, in 2021, Dr. Wolf became a Prof G Certified Brand Strategist through Section4.
