Terry Slevin

Terry Slevin is a highly experienced public health professional with a notable background in leadership and organizational management. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Curtin University's National Drug Research Institute since February 2022, Slevin also fulfills the role of Chief Executive Officer at the Public Health Association of Australia since May 2018. Previously, Slevin held the position of Education and Research Director at Cancer Council Western Australia from April 1994 to February 2022, overseeing over 45 staff and managing significant contract income and expenditure related to cancer research funding. Earlier experience includes serving as Campaign Director for the Alcohol Advisory Council of WA, focusing on public health advocacy regarding alcohol-related harm. Slevin's educational qualifications include a Masters of Public Health from the University of Sydney and a BA(Hons) in Psychology from the University of Newcastle, along with professional credentials from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the AGSM @ UNSW Business School.
