Richard Parkinson

Richard Parkinson is the Managing Director of Curtiss-Wright Corporation's Avionics, Video and Systems Business Unit, overseeing operations in the UK since July 2013. Prior roles included Director of Programmes & Engineering, where Richard led a team of 45, and Senior Programme Manager, managing an integrated team for a flight recorder project for Irkut Corporation. Experience prior to Curtiss-Wright includes significant project management roles at Cobham and FR Aviation, focusing on military training systems and high-profile aircraft projects. Richard served as an Air Engineer Officer in the Royal Navy for over a decade, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander and winning the Rolls Royce Engineering Efficiency Trophy. Richard holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from Churchill College, University of Cambridge.
