Sean Lewis

Sean Lewis is a software engineering leader with extensive experience in building and managing high-performing engineering teams. Currently serving as the VP of Software Engineering at Custodia Bank since March 2022, Sean focuses on establishing best practices in software tooling, architecture, and delivery processes while fostering a culture of autonomy and ownership. Previously, Sean held positions at Genesis Block as Director of Software Engineering and Senior Software Architect, managing diverse engineering teams and tackling technical debt. Experience also includes roles at Divvy, Nav Inc., TruHearing, Rakuten Marketing, Instructure, and Hill Air Force Base, showcasing a strong background in backend development, performance engineering, and technical consulting. Self-taught, Sean has honed expertise in various technologies, particularly in Golang and software development practices.
