Lauren Powell

Lauren Powell is a Lab Manager at Custom Microwave, Inc. since June 2014, where responsibilities include overseeing production and analysis in an electroplating lab and developing in-house metal 3D printing and additive manufacturing for aerospace RF applications. Previously, Lauren served as a Materials Engineer, focusing on research to improve electroforming and electrochemical processes while integrating advanced manufacturing solutions. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University. Additional experience includes internships at SSC San Diego Naval Laboratory, Nextreme Thermal Solutions, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, contributing to research and development in semiconductor polymers, thermoelectric materials, and novel nano-materials.
