Emīls Pļavenieks

Emīls Pļavenieks has significant experience in frontend and fullstack development. Emīls is currently employed as a Senior Frontend Engineer at Customer.io, where they work with product sections involving data representation and management. Emīls'sdaily work primarily focuses on Ember.

Prior to their current role, Emīls worked as a Fullstack Javascript Talent at Toptal, taking on various contract projects in different industries. This involved creating minimum viable products (MVPs) with a fullstack architecture using React and Node.js.

Emīls also spent three years as a Senior Javascript Developer at Ubiquiti Inc., where they played a key role in rewriting the new UI for the UniFi Network team. Emīls improved performance, increased usability with heavy real-time data views, and utilized Redux for state management.

In addition, Emīls worked as a Fullstack Javascript Lecturer at SmartCod.ee, where they prepared materials, led lectures and practical work classes for beginner and junior developers. Emīls also worked with experienced developer groups to introduce new concepts.

During their time at BusinessTravel365, Emīls served as the Lead Fullstack Developer, responsible for application architecture, technical implementations, and leading a developer team. Emīls worked on various projects such as internal CRM, large-scale forms, and microservice architecture.

Emīls has also worked at Mapon as a Frontend Developer, focusing on a real-time fleet management system. Emīls developed and maintained core features, including heavy data reports, graphs, and real-time map interactions.

Before that, Emīls worked as a Frontend Developer at Visual Composer, maintaining and improving the DnD WYSIWYG Website Builder plugin for WordPress. Emīls also had experience with Dyninno as a Junior Frontend Developer, where they quickly became an integral part of the team, working with vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and SASS to develop various UI elements and API integrations.

Emīls Pļavenieks pursued their Bachelor of Automation and Computer Science degree from 2015 to 2018 at Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University). During their time there, they focused on studying Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management.
