Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science at Northwestern University from 1986 to 1987. Abhay began their education journey by earning a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) in Varanasi, where they studied from 1982 to 1986.
