John Zook has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and organizations. John currently holds the position of Financial Systems and Technology Director, SVP at Customers Bank since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at BTRG as a Sr. Project Manager and Performance Management Architect from 2010 to 2022. John also worked as a Sr. Project Manager at J2 Solutions from 2017 to 2018. Additionally, they worked at Lebanon Valley College as an Instructor in 2016, Fannie Mae as a BTRG Project Manager in 2014, The County of Chester, PA as the Manager of Performance Management and Financial Reporting from 2009 to 2010, and the U.A.E. Ministry of Education as an IT Advisor/CTO from 2006 to 2009. John started their career as an IT Director at Owen J. Roberts School District, where they worked from 1998 to 2006. Throughout their career, John has gained expertise in financial systems, project management, performance management, and IT advisory roles.

John Zook has a strong educational background. John pursued their higher education at several institutions. John started their educational journey at Cocalico High School, where they obtained their high school diploma in Math and Business in 1979. John then attended the Ohio Institute of Technology and earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from 1979 to 1982.

After a substantial gap, John Zook returned to academia and completed their Master of Science degree in Information Science at Penn State Great Valley from 2001 to 2004. John continued their studies at the same institution and obtained an MBA in General Business from 2004 to 2005.

Later on, they pursued a doctoral degree at George Washington University (GWU) from 2006 to 2013, specializing in Shared Leadership. Although they completed their coursework and is considered All But Dissertation (ABD), they did not receive their Ed.D.

In addition to their formal education, John Zook has obtained certifications to enhance their professional skill set. John became a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in March 2017. Furthermore, they also achieved the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification in June 2017, also provided by the Project Management Institute.
