Janice Marshall

Janice Marshall is the current Vice President of Access and Community Connections at Cuyahoga Community College. Janice has held this position since May of 2019. Prior to their current role, Janice served as the Doctoral Cohort Coordinator at Cuyahoga Community College from May 2015 to May 2019. In this role, they provided academic support and advising to students, communicated with prospective students, and helped faculty create a community of graduate learning. Janice also has experience as a Director, having served as the Director of the Office of Student Success at Lansing Community College from September 2004 to November 2011. In this role, they oversaw student success initiatives and programs designed to help students succeed academically and transition into careers. Prior to their work in higher education, Janice served as the Executive Director of Education Career Services at Michigan Virtual University from May 2000 to October 2004. In this role, they oversaw career services programs and initiatives designed to help students transition into careers. Janice began their career in 1996 as the Program Director of the Michigan Occupational Information System (MOIS) at the Ingham Intermediate School District. In this role, they oversaw the development and implementation of MOIS, a statewide system that provides information about occupations and educational opportunities to students, educators, and counselors.

Janice Marshall has a Doctor of Education from The University of Texas at Austin in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration/Community College Leadership. Janice also has a Master of Arts from Michigan State University in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University in Special Education and Teaching. In addition, they hold certifications from Sprintbase as a Sprintbase Certified Coach, from the International Federation of Coaching as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and from the Worldwide Association of Business Coaching as a Registered Corporate Coach (RCC).
