Carolyn Shellum has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Carolyn started their career at Charles Schwab as a Compliance Manager, where they were responsible for providing consultation on statutory and operational compliance and corrections for large-market clients. Carolyn then joined Temple-Inland, where they progressed from being a Retirement Plans Administrator to a Compliance Administrator and eventually became the Manager of Compensation. In this role, they led the design and deployment of pay-for-performance compensation plans while ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Shellum later joined Memorial Hermann Healthcare System as the Director of Compensation & HRIS, where they translated compensation plans in alignment with the organization's business model. Carolyn also established relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Before joining Core Laboratories as the Manager of Compensation & Benefits, Shellum served as Temple-Inland's Manager of Compensation. At Core Laboratories, they partnered with the executive committee and senior leadership to establish compensation and benefits strategies aligned with business goals. Carolyn also provided advice on compensation and benefits trends and compliance issues. Currently, Shellum holds the position of Director of Total Rewards at CVR Energy, Inc., where they oversee all aspects of total rewards management.
Carolyn Shellum obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from Houston Christian University - Archie W. Dunham College of Business, where they studied from 1976 to 1980. Later, from 2006 to 2008, Carolyn pursued an MBA in General Management from the renowned Texas McCombs School of Business.
