David Cain

David Cain has a diverse work experience with a focus on information technology and management roles. David most recently served as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at CVR Energy, Inc. since September 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Director at Opportune LLP from May 2012 to September 2019. David also held positions as a Principal at SunGard Consulting Services from August 2009 to May 2012, and as a Senior Director, Program Management Office (PMO) at Direct Energy in 2009. Before that, they worked as a Senior Director, Client Services at Alliance Data from 2003 to 2009. David started their career as a Senior Manager at Accenture, where they worked from 1991 to 2003.

David Cain attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2000 to 2002, where they earned their MBA degree. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1991, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Texas A&M University. In terms of additional certifications, David Cain obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in January 2023. David also achieved the Proofpoint Certified Phishing Specialist 2022 and Proofpoint Certified DLP Specialist 2022 certifications from Proofpoint, respectively, in January 2023 and October 2022. Furthermore, in January 2012, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from The Project Management Institute (PMI).
