Melissa M. Buhrig

Melissa Buhrig is an accomplished legal executive with extensive experience in the petroleum refining and marketing industry. Currently serving as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at CVR Energy, Inc. since July 2018, Melissa previously held similar roles at Delek US Holdings, Inc. and Northern Tier Energy. Between 2005 and 2014, Melissa advanced through various positions at Western Refining, contributing to the establishment of the legal department and overseeing critical corporate functions. Prior professional experience includes partnerships and associate roles in law firms such as Barfield Law and Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. Melissa holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
