Shawna Persaud

Shawna Persaud, Ph.D. has extensive experience in various roles related to clinical affairs, product management, and research. Shawna is currently serving as the Director of Clinical Affairs at CVRx | Barostim since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Abilitech Medical, Inc from January 2017 to November 2022, where they held the positions of Director of Clinical and Product Management, Clinical and Product Manager, and Consultant. From June 2012 to January 2018, they were a Pharmacology Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Shawna also worked as a Project Manager - Economic Development Fellow at the Office of University Economic Development from 2016 to 2017, and as a Research Specialist at the University of Minnesota from 2007 to 2011.

Shawna Persaud, Ph.D. completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota in 2007. Shawna then pursued further studies at the University of Minnesota Medical School, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmacology in 2018.
