Kimberly Lawrence

Kimberly Lawrence is the current VP of Labor & Employment Counsel at CVS Health. Kimberly has also worked as the Deputy General Counsel (Lead Global Employment Attorney) & Chief Compliance Officer at AMERICAN EAGLE OUTFITTERS INC. from September 2012 to February 2017. In this role, they were responsible for providing advice and counsel to senior leadership on multinational labor and employments claims and litigation, involving Title VII, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, leaves of absence, contingent workers, performance management, wage and hour violations, trade secrets, restrictive covenants and reductions in force (WARN).

Kimberly has also been responsible for developing and launching AEOs first global enterprise risk compliance function domestically and internationally (Mexico, Canada and APAC), including customized online trainings for Title VII, Code of Ethics, Whistleblower and related policies. Kimberly has also drafted complex offer letters, termination agreements and severance agreements; and conducted in-person and virtual training on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and Code of Ethics policies for employees domestically and globally; and trained third-party providers.

In addition, Kimberly has overseen international investigations related to claims of code of ethics violations and conflicts of interest; managed the L&E budget and increased company profitability through the disciplined management of expenses by entering into fixed fee and alternative fee arrangements. Kimberly has also served as the primary legal point of contact related to board governance matters and attended all Board of Directors' meetings while handling temporary co-interim General Counsel responsibilities. Finally, Kimberly has managed a team of attorneys, paralegals and administrative support staff for L&E and Compliance.

Kimberly Lawrence received their B.A. in International Studies/Spanish Minor from Miami University. Kimberly then went on to study abroad in Spanish at Instituto Internacional in Madrid, Spain. After returning to the United States, Lawrence attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and received their J.D.
