Sanjay Purushothaman began their work experience as a Senior Accountant at Schlumberger in 1997. Sanjay then moved on to become a Finance Manager at dormakaba India in 1999. In 2000, they joined HCL Technologies as a Manager in Finance before transitioning to Inchcape Shipping Services, where they held various roles including Finance Manager, Chief Financial Officer, and Vice President of Finance. In 2017, Sanjay joined BMMI as a Consultant before becoming a Finance Business Partner for the Middle East and Turkey at Toll Group. Currently, they are the Head of Finance at CWT-SML LOGISTICS LLC, starting in 2023.

Sanjay Purushothaman completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Commerce from Loyola College, Chennai from 1990 to 1993. Following that, they pursued their ACA degree in Finance at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 1993 to 1996. In addition to their formal education, Sanjay obtained a Diploma in Systems Management from NIIT Limited in May 1993 and a Certificate in Office Computing from First Computers in March 1997. Sanjay also acquired additional certifications including Microsoft Access 2000 (Intermediary) from ExecuTrain LLC in December 2002 and Microsoft Excel 2000 (Advanced) from Executrain in June 2002.

CWT-SML Logistics LLC started operations in Jebel Ali Free Zone in 1999 with the objective of providing high quality and effective logistics solutions to various industries in the Middle East region. The demand for professional companies providing efficient 3PL solutions prompted CWT to expand into the ME region from its traditional base in the Far East. In the past decade CWT has gained wide knowledge of the region to provide excellent solutions to its customers. Today CWT acts as a hub to most of its customers supporting them in their logistical requirements for the MENA region.
