Charles L. Jenkins, JR, is the founding owner, CEO, and Founder of CWU Inc. a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB) that provides critical staff augmentation support, including foreign language support services, training development support, and intelligence service support to its commercial and government clients. Charles founded CWU Inc. in 2004 as a contracting consultant. Today, CWU Inc. employs over 900 personnel, worldwide, with annual revenues over $50.0 million.

Charles as the CEO of CWU Inc. is responsible for running all facets of the business. Charles has a proven executive management track record and over 12 years of experience driving his company's growth in the government support service industry. Prior to founding CWU Inc. Charles served a successful 20-year career from 1980 to 2000 with the United States Army Special Forces as a Special Forces Medic and Team Sergeant with 7th Special Forces Group at Fort Bragg, North Carolina in addition to, acting Company Sergeant Major for the field phases of the Special Forces Qualification Course at Camp Mackall, North Carolina. After retiring from active duty, Charles entered the civilian workforce as a Supply Chain Manager for Aramark Uniform Services in Miami, Florida where he was responsible for implementing responsible cost saving measures that increased company net profit by more than 12% the first year saving Aramark over $360,000.

In 2001, Charles left Aramark to return to government service to support the United States Department of State (DOS) – International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) in Peru as a Field Operations Advisor and Security Analyst supporting the U.S. government’s counter drug strategy in Latin America. He led a joint team of senior U.S. and Peruvian leaders to develop and implement a national level strategy for Search and Rescue. He also served as a contracting officer’s technical representative (COTR) providing oversight and quality assurance for the counter-narcotics construction budget of over $10 million annually.

In 2015, CWU was recognized as the SBA State of Florida SDVOSB of the Year, in addition to, making the 2013 and 2014 INC 500/5000 lists of the fastest growing small businesses in the country, and making the Tampa Bay Business Journal's 2014 and 2015 list of Top Defense Contractors in the Greater Tampa Bay area. Charles devotes his personal time mentoring veterans that wish to start their own business and assisting other small business entrepreneurs that want to engage in the government contracting industry.
