John van Ert

John Van Ert currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at Mars Veterinary Health, a position held since January 2021, focusing on information security governance. Additionally, John is a founding member of CXO/RISE since May 2025. Prior to this, John was the Chief Information Security Officer at VCA Animal Hospitals from November 2009 to January 2021, where responsibilities included information security governance. Earlier in John's career, roles included Sr. Director of Systems Engineering, overseeing IT infrastructure, and Director of Systems Engineering. John holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
