Yaozhu Leng has had a varied work experience, beginning in 2011 with an internship at the Zhuhai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, where they developed skills in bacteria culture, microscope use, and material purification. In the same year, they worked on a special project for Supervisor Zaizuliana Zamberi, researching the influence of condiments on bacterial activity in Malaysian cooking. In 2012, they worked as a Technological Development Assistant at Guangdong Zhongsheng Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., where they used a UV spectrophotometer to confirm the concentration of the yield of Yingqiao Jiedu Ye before scale up manufacturing. In 2014, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where they were responsible for cell culture and extracting skill. In 2015, they worked as a Research Assistant at Wayne State University. Finally, in 2016, they were a Project Manager Lead and Marketing BD at Cyagen, where they were responsible for assisting in the development and business expansion of new clients, developing unique sales plans for different customers, and analyzing and understanding the financing mechanism, capital source, and flow direction of emerging foreign biotechnology.
Yaozhu Leng obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Beijing Normal University, Zhuhai in 2008-2012. YAOZHU also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from TPM Academy in 2009-2011. Lastly, they obtained a Master's degree in Biological Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2013-2015.
