We are seeking a Pre-Contracts Engineer/Administrator to play a crucial role in supporting contract procurement and pre-award activities. If you have a strong engineering background and experience in tendering, contract administration, and procurement negotiations—particularly in the Mining, Oil & Gas, or Engineering sectors—we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Procurement & Pre-Qualification:
- Support contract procurement for clients.
- Pre-qualify and shortlist contractors.
Tender/Bid Management:
- Prepare tender and bid documents.
- Issue Invitations to Tender (ITT) and manage the tendering process.
- Address bidder clarifications and queries.
Pre-Award Administration:
- Oversee contract recommendations and awards.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and best practices.
Contract Administration & Procurement Support:
- Manage subcontracting services, negotiations, and administration.
- Maintain a database of subcontract agreements and track expiry dates.
- Source and negotiate with new contractors to achieve optimal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Coordinate with site managers and procurement teams to finalize contract scopes.
- Handle amendments, variations, and procurement tasks, including critical spare parts.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field).
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in contract administration, tendering, and procurement.
- Strong knowledge of pre-award processes, contract negotiation, and SLA management.
- Experience with major clients overseas is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
