Lauren Gicas

Lauren Gicas is an experienced project manager and event planner with a diverse background in managing large-scale events and operations. Currently serving as Project Manager at the San Diego Cyber Center of Excellence since April 2021, Lauren also works as a self-employed contractor specializing in event planning and travel coordination. Previously, Lauren held the position of Senior Director of Operations at the USA Science & Engineering Festival, where responsibilities included managing all facets of the country's largest biennial festival. Additional experience includes roles in business development at Latham & Watkins LLP and marketing coordination at Heller Ehrman LLP. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art with a focus on Visual Communications from Salisbury University.
