Shawn Tolley

Shawn Tolley has been working in the IT and security industry since 1997. Shawn began their career at BankOne as an IT Consultant, providing PC/LAN support for the Bank One HQ office. In 1999, they moved to Metromedia Restaurant Group and took on the role of Network Engineer and Administrator. In 2001, they transitioned to Affiliated Computer Services as a Lead Network & Systems Engineer and Administrator, and successfully performed a major enterprise migration of all servers, network, and midrange systems during the outsourcing initiative. In 2002, they joined Managed Network Security as the Head Network and Security Engineer and Consultant, where they developed and supported all service offerings, including managed perimeter security services, managed event/log monitoring services, managed vulnerability assessments, and managed server and network monitoring and reporting. In 2007, they moved to Accretive Solutions as a Senior IT Security Consultant and Chief Engineer of the company's national security lab, where they provided network/application vulnerability assessment, network/application penetration testing and ethical hacking, application source code assessment, social engineering and physical security testing, incident handling, malware analysis, and digital forensics. In 2011, they co-founded Cyber Defense Labs and currently serves as their Chief Security Engineer, providing hands-on security engineering expertise and support to CDL and customers.

Shawn Tolley is currently enrolled at The University of Texas at Dallas, studying Computer Science.
