Peiyuan Liao

Peiyuan Liao has a diverse range of work experience. They started their career as a Participant at the Recurse Center in 2020. They then worked as an Undergraduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science from 2019 to 2020. In 2020, they also worked as a Research Intern and Generalist Intern at Amber Group. That same year, they became a Competitions Grandmaster at Kaggle and a Machine Learning Engineer at Praxis Pioneering. In 2021, they joined Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science again as a Researcher and also worked as a Fellow at The D.E. Shaw Group. They later worked as a Software Engineer at OctoML and a Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Praxis Pioneering. In 2021, they also had a research role at Amber Group and Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science. Currently, Peiyuan is the Chief Technology Officer at Cyber Manufacture Co.

Peiyuan Liao is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (in progress) in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, a program they have been enrolled in since 2019. Prior to this, Peiyuan completed their high school education at Kent School from 2016 to 2019, where they focused on Mathematics and Computer Science.
