Robert Carloff is a highly experienced IT specialist who has worked for various organizations, including the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, where they managed high-level IT capabilities with multi-national and international partner agencies. Robert has also worked for Citi and AIG as a cyber threat intelligence expert and director, respectively, overseeing cyber readiness and operations teams. In addition, Carloff has also been a business owner supporting "Not For Profit" organizations and is the CEO/founder of Cyber News Live, a cyber news production company. Their work experience also includes several IT roles for the Australian government, including at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and Department of Education, Employment, and Workplace Relations.

Robert Carloff completed a Master of Policing Intelligence and Counter Terrorism, specialising in Cyber Security, at Macquarie University from 2013 to 2014. Prior to this, they pursued a Master of Business Informatics with a focus on IT Security, Social Media and Smart Technologies at the University of Canberra from 2005 to 2012. In 2000, they obtained a Certificate III in Geoscience from the Canberra Institute of Technology. In addition, they have received various certifications from LinkedIn in diverse areas such as cybersecurity, leadership, diversity and inclusion, social media marketing, and productivity hacks, among others.
