Davide Scorza

Davide Scorza has worked as the Head of Applied Research at Cyber Surgery since September 2022. In this role, they are responsible for managing and coordinating the development of medical processing algorithms and the technical development of R&D projects. Prior to that, from January 2020 to February 2023, they worked as a Research and Development Project Manager at Cyber Surgery. In this role, they managed and coordinated the development of medical processing algorithms and the technical development of R&D projects in collaboration with other centers.

Before joining Cyber Surgery, Davide worked at Vicomtech from 2014 to 2019. Davide held various roles during this period, including Researcher and Research Assistant. As a Researcher, they worked on the development of medical image processing algorithms for image guided surgery and was responsible for designing and implementing image processing algorithms. Davide also had technical coordination responsibilities for R&D projects in medical image processing with other centers and clients. As a Research Assistant, they participated in the development and design of innovative solutions for image guided surgery and robot-assisted rehabilitation. Davide also worked on the implementation of medical image processing and computer vision algorithms.

Davide also worked as a Researcher PHD Student at Politecnico di Milano, Vicomtech from 2015 to 2019. In this role, they collaborated on the development of a decision support system for StereElectroEncephaloGraphy trajectory planning and gained experience in image processing, optimization, machine learning, and decision-making modeling.

Davide Scorza completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in bioengineering from Politecnico di Milano from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Ingegneria dell'Automazione (Automation Engineering) from Università degli Studi di Brescia from 2012 to 2014. In 2013 to 2014, they also obtained a Master's degree in Mechatronic Systems for Rehabilitation from Pierre and Marie Curie University. Before their master's, they studied Ingegneria Biomedica (Biomedical Engineering) at Politecnico di Milano from 2009 to 2012.

Additionally, in July 2022, Davide Scorza obtained certification as a Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc.
