Sarah Spotten has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Sarah is currently working at Cyberbit as a Customer Success Manager and Cybersecurity Trainer, where they serve as a product subject matter expert and acts as a liaison between customers and cross-functional teams. Prior to this, Sarah worked at Cybrary as a Training Architect, providing their expertise in training and education in cybersecurity. Sarah also has experience as a SOC/CIRT Analyst at ARGO Cyber Systems and as a Cyber Mission Force Instructor at Jacobs, where they worked with the Department of Defense. Additionally, Sarah has served as a Cyber Security Instructor at General Dynamics Information Technology and Kforce Inc. In their earlier career, they worked in the US Navy as a CTN and CTT, focusing on generating intelligence data, training team members, and leading technical systems. Sarah holds an MSCSIA degree and is a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
Sarah Spotten, MSCSIA, CEH, has a strong education background in the fields of cybersecurity, information assurance, and human services. Sarah obtained their Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University, where they studied from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Arts degree in Human Services with a focus on Life Coaching at Liberty University in 2021.
Sarah also holds a Bachelor's degree, which they earned in 2003 from Iowa State University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, with a major in Anthropology.
In addition to their academic achievements, Sarah has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional expertise. These include Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council, which they attained in February 2022, CompTIA CTT+ Classroom Trainer Certification from CompTIA in February 2021, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) in July 2020, and CompTIA Security+ in January 2019.
