Gary W.

Gary W. has over 18 years of experience in the IT field. Gary'scareer began in 2003 as an IT Assistant Sr Manager at Time Inc., where they provided IT support for multiple divisions and implemented systems that met the needs of multiple business units. In 2008, they moved to Catholic Schools Of Fairbanks, where they taught computer information systems to high school students, English and Creative Writing to all high school classes, and coached baseball. In 2011, they joined Banner Health as an IT Customer Relations Facility Coordinator and System Engineer. In 2015, they became a Senior Consultant, Systems and IT Manager/Lead Network Engineer at OGSystems, where they maintained a 6 x 8 rack data center and upgraded multiple SANs in several locations. In 2016, they joined Cascade Health Solutions as an IT Director, where they implemented disaster recovery, business continuity, and continuous testing for ensured reliability. In 2019, they moved to Koniag, Inc. as a Director Of Information Technology / SR IT Director, where they managed the IT department for a large corporation and reviewed and selected an enterprise-level MSP for the subsidiaries. Lastly, in 2021, they joined SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) as a Director of Infrastructure Services, where they led a large and diverse team to oversee network, compute, and storage in 27 clinics. Gary is currently employed as the Director of Information Systems at CyberFortress.

Gary W. has an extensive educational background. In 2021, they began a Master of Science in Information Technology at Arkansas Tech University. From 2008 to 2011, they obtained a Teaching License, a Master of Fine Arts, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. From 2004 to 2008, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Additionally, they have obtained numerous certifications from institutions such as Six Sigma Global Institute, HDI, IBM, Microsoft, and CompTIA.
