Dan Bogdanov

Dan Bogdanov has over 14 years of experience with Cybernetica, where they have held various roles including Director of the Information Security Research Institute, Head of the Department of Information Security Systems, and Head of the Department of Privacy Technologies. Dan has also worked as a project manager for Sharemind technologies and as a researcher, managing R&D projects and research collaborations. Prior to their time at Cybernetica, they worked as a systems analyst at Quretec Ltd and EGeen AS, where they developed features and applications for clinical trial data management platforms. Dan also worked as a researcher at the University of Tartu. In addition, they co-founded M-Meedia OÜ, a company that provided ICT solutions.

Dan Bogdanov completed their education at the University of Tartu, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from 2005 to 2007. Dan further pursued their studies at the same institution and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Informatics from 2007 to 2013. In addition to their academic qualifications, Dan Bogdanov obtained a certification as an ISO/IEC 27032 Lead Cybersecurity Manager from PECB in January 2024.
