Tomi Helkearo

Tomi Helkearo has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. In 2006, they started working for Nokia, Inc. (USA) as a Senior Project Manager and later transitioned to the role of Product Manager. Tomi then moved on to Nokia India Pvt. Ltd., where they served as a Development Manager, overseeing the deployment of global sales and distribution tools and processes in India. Tomi also managed local process development and IT projects in the sales and distribution area, as well as the implementation of branded retail stores across India.

In 2012, Helkearo joined Nokia as a Product Manager (Portfolio Manager), where they worked until 2014. During this time, they were responsible for managing and overseeing various product portfolios.

In 2014, they joined Microsoft as a Product Manager in the Microsoft Devices Group. In this role, they were responsible for the development, manufacturing, and supply chain management of Microsoft's family of first-party devices.

In 2016, Helkearo joined Tapp Commerce as the Director of Strategy & Programs and later took on the role of Director of Market and Business Expansion. Tapp Commerce specializes in next-generation payments, banking, and mobile telecommunications.

In 2017, they held multiple roles with different companies. Tomi served as a Senior Business Advisor at Helsinki Business Hub, a Business Designer at Solita, and a Business Designer and Project Director at Palmu, a multidisciplinary design and change-making organization.

Starting from 2020, Helkearo worked at MaaS Global Ltd, where they held various roles. Tomi began as a Senior Product Manager before transitioning to the role of Head of Product. Tomi remained in this position until 2022.

In 2022, they joined CybExer Technologies as the Head of Product Management.

Tomi Helkearo obtained a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Tampere University of Technology, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. Tomi also obtained several additional certifications in various fields such as cyber security, product management, design thinking, and Scrum. These certifications were acquired from institutions such as Coursera, Cybrary, LinkedIn, Columbia University, and Scrum Alliance. The certifications were obtained between 2018 and 2023, with the most recent ones obtained in 2023.
