Dr. Afshan Samani

Dr. Afshan Samani is a seasoned product management professional with extensive experience in leading and co-founding innovative e-commerce and technology companies. Currently serving as Head of Product Management at Zalando since February 2025, Afshan has co-founded and contributed to PodroCo, a pioneering initiative for Social Commerce tools, and Pinosell, a social shopping platform. Previously, Afshan held senior product management roles at SSENSE, Rocket Internet SE, and Digital Engagement Xperience Inc., where responsibilities included strategic planning, customer journey optimization, and successful product launches. Dr. Samani possesses a Ph.D. in Privacy in Cooperative Distributed Systems from Western University, complemented by multiple degrees in Networks and Distributed Systems and Computer Software Engineering from distinguished institutions.
