Wes MacKay

Wes MacKay has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Wes started as a Computer Operator at the University of North Texas in 2009, followed by an internship at Hewlett-Packard in 2011. Afterward, Wes worked as an IT Technician II at the University of North Texas from 2011 to 2014, where they monitored database systems and resolved technical issues.

In 2014, Wes joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a Solutions Architect, focusing on bridging the gap between technology and business value for customers. Wes worked with the Enterprise Group Channel, SLED, SMB team to enable partner businesses to sell server, storage, and networking products. Wes also lead a team of Enterprise Solution Architects supporting inside sales teams for server and storage solutions.

Following their tenure at HPE, Wes worked for Veeam Software as a Systems Engineer from 2021 to 2022, and later at Sysdig as a Cloud Sales Engineer from 2022 to 2022. Currently, they are employed at Cycode as a Sales Engineer, starting in 2023.

Throughout their career, Wes has gained expertise in sales engineering, systems engineering, and solution architecture. Wes has a strong background in supporting distribution partners, delivering value to customers, and engaging in technical discussions and direct selling opportunities.

Wes MacKay obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Information Technology from the University of North Texas from 2007 to 2013. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Kraken Scout from Sysdig in September 2022, CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation in August 2020, Veeam Certified Architect 2022 from Veeam Software in December 2021, Veeam Certified Engineer 2021 from Veeam Software in October 2021, and HPE Master ASE - Advanced Server Solutions Architect V3 from Hewlett Packard Enterprise in May 2019.
