Amir Olswang

Head Of Product at Cynet

Amir Olswang has a wealth of experience in the field of product management and team leadership. Amir is currently serving as the Head of Product at Cynet Security. Prior to this, they worked at ForeScout Technologies Inc. from 2016 to 2022 as the Director of Product Management, UX. During their time at ForeScout, they managed the core security functionality of the product, led a team of product managers, and initiated the UX team, focusing on creating a new user experience for customers. Amir also managed technical writing and the Beta and EA programs.

Before their role at ForeScout, Amir worked at Check Point from 2010 to 2016 as the SmartEvent - Group Manager. In this position, they were in charge of the monitoring and analysis products for Check Point Security Gateways. During this period, they led the development of a new architecture based on the SOLR Big Data indexing engine, which significantly improved scalability and performance and contributed to the sales of new products.

Before Check Point, Amir worked at Check Point Software Technologies, Ltd. from 2002 to 2009. Amir held two roles during this time, starting as the Network Configuration - Group Manager and later becoming the Monitoring Product R&D Team Leader. In these positions, they restructured the group to focus on business projects, initiated an internal process for product definition, and played a key role in Check Point's main UI application.

Prior to their time at Check Point, Amir worked at Blue Pumpkin Software from 1999 to 2002 as a Team Leader. Amir led the development of an integration platform called Blue Pumpkin Exchange, which connected third-party voice switches with the workforce management product.

Amir's early career includes a role at NICE Systems from 1996 to 1998 as a Software Developer and Team Leader. In this position, they led the development of an engine that integrated different Telco voice switches with the NICE recording system, with a specific focus on the integration with Lucent's (currently AVAYA) Enterprise switch.

Amir Olswang earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Philosophy from Tel Aviv University, where they attended from 1994 to 1996. Amir went on to pursue a Master's degree in Data Science at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, completing their studies from 2017 to 2019.
