Lynn Leahey has a wide range of work experience in the media industry. Lynn started their career at Soap Opera Digest in 1987, where they served as a Managing Editor for four years before becoming the Editor-in-Chief. During their time at Soap Opera Digest, Lynn managed budgets, planned and designed covers, edited all copy, and developed the magazine's website. Lynn also took the magazine from a bi-weekly to a weekly frequency, increasing content production while minimizing staffing expenses. Lynn also held the role of Editorial Director at Source Interlink, where they created new brands and redesigned magazines to tighten their editorial focus. Lynn then moved on to Bauer Publishing, where they worked as an Articles Director, top editing and writing articles for a weekly celebrity magazine. Currently, Lynn works at Cynopsis Media, where they have held multiple roles. As an Editorial Director, they edit flagship and digital daily newsletters, moderates webinar panels, and edits special issues, reports, and marketing copy. Prior to this, they were an Editor, writing a daily newsletter covering television production news, ratings, casting, and industry trends. Lynn also created and moderated panels for Cynopsis events and webinars, as well as commissioned and edited special features. Overall, Lynn Leahey has a strong background in editorial management, content creation, and brand development in the media industry.
Lynn Leahey pursued their undergraduate education from 1977 to 1981 at Colgate University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English.

Cynopsis Media publishes trade publications for the television, media, digital, and TV sports industries. Its daily e-publications include Cynopsis, an internal memo created to keep a sales team updated and informed, as well as reports daily on the business of television programming, distribution, marketing, advertising, and executive moves.Cynopsis Media's daily e-publications also include Cynopsis: Kids!, which provides daily readers the news and information ranging from programming information to marketing and licensing highlights; Cynopsis: Sports; and Cynopsis: Digital, which helps readers stay up-to-date with the ever-changing digital platform. It also covers everything from deals and distribution to daily programming and ratings news. Moreover, Cynopsis Media's weekly e-publication includes Cynopsis: Classified Advantage, an interactive e-publication addressing the various career questions, as well as publishes a collection of the industry's top jobs, and expert advice and tips on how to get and keep these jobs. It began operation in 1997. Cynopsis Media's headquarters is in Stratford in Connecticut. It operates as a subsidiary of Access Intelligence as of July 5, 2011.
