Qin Yang

Qin Yang has a diverse work experience in the finance and investment industry. They started their career as a Summer Analyst at India Internet Fund in 2016. Qin then worked as a Graduate Teaching Fellow at Yale University in 2018. They later joined Atlas Capital as an Investment Analyst from 2020 to 2021. Qin then became an Investment Analyst/Research Lead at Maverick Capital from 2021 to 2022, where they focused on fintech, DeFis, and global macro coverage. Qin's most recent roles include working as a Senior Associate at Cypher Capital Group, where they were responsible for portfolio and risk management, macro research, and public market activities. They also worked as a Senior Associate at Phoenix Technology, a conglomerate involved in data centers, real estate, and Bitcoin mining, which is on track for a public listing on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange.

Qin Yang has a diverse educational background. They first attended Chengdu Foreign Languages School from 2010 to 2013, where they obtained their High School Diploma with a focus on Science. They then pursued higher education at Haverford College from 2013 to 2017, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a double major in Computer Science and History. During their time at Haverford, Qin Yang also engaged in a Visiting Student program at Pembroke College, University of Oxford, specializing in History from 2015 to 2016.

In 2017, Qin Yang enrolled at Yale University to pursue a Master of Arts (MA) degree in East Asian Studies, which they completed in 2019. Qin Yang further expanded their knowledge by participating in a 10-month program at the Inter-University Center for Japanese Language Studies (IUC) in Yokohama from 2019 to 2020. Qin Yang also obtained the JLPT N1 certification from The Japan Foundation in January 2021.
