Maddy Symm

Maddy Symm has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Maddy is currently working as the Director of Political and Legislative Strategy at Cypress Creek Renewables. Prior to this, they worked as the Government & Public Affairs Manager at Berry Corporation from May 2019 to December 2021. Maddy also served as an Environmental Specialist at Aera Energy LLC from November 2016 to May 2019, and as a Regulatory Analyst at California Resources Corporation from August 2014 to November 2016. Maddy began their career as an Environmental Specialist at Occidental of Elk Hills, Inc. (Oxy) from July 2012 to August 2014. Additionally, they have experience as a Policy Intern at San Luis Obispo Coastkeeper, an HES Department Intern at Oxy, and a Land Department Intern at Vintage Production California, LLC (Oxy).

Maddy Symm obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Management and Protection from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo between 2008 and 2012. Later, from 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus on Public Policy at California State University, Bakersfield.
