Preston Burkhalter

Preston Burkhalter has experience working in various roles within the IT infrastructure field. Preston started their career as a Systems Analyst at Staff One, Inc. in 2010, where they presented system capabilities in sales meetings and managed the technology infrastructure. In 2011, they joined Fritz Industries, Inc. and held positions such as Systems Analyst II, Manager, IT, and Senior Manager, IT. During this time, they worked on projects such as designing and managing a virtual infrastructure, implementing Microsoft Lync 2013, and leading a team in aligning efforts with business outcomes. In 2019, Preston joined CyrusOne as a Director of IT Infrastructure and was later promoted to Senior Director. In these roles, they led initiatives such as orchestrating the transformation of systems architecture using automation tools, spearheading a cloud governance program, and driving a significant reduction in IT VAR spend. Preston Burkhalter holds a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Texas at Austin, which they earned from 2023 to 2025. Their undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, which they completed from 2005 to 2010. Additionally, Preston has obtained several certifications related to computer forensics, computer security, ethical hacking, cybersecurity, and IT security from Lynda.com, with the most recent certifications obtained in 2016.
