Janis Becker

Janis Becker has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Janis most recently served as the Head of Talent Management at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation starting in November 2018. Prior to that, they worked for SmartBrief as the Director of Talent Acquisition and Development from November 2012 to November 2018. Janis also worked as a Consultant at BGM Consulting LLC from September 2008 to November 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Vice President at Lehman Brothers from August 2001 to September 2008, and as a Leadership Manager at Jupiter Research from February 2000 to June 2001. Janis began their career as a Recruiter at Lehman Brothers from July 1997 to February 2000.

Janis Becker obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, which they completed from 1993 to 1997. Janis later pursued a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, which they completed from 1999 to 2002. In addition to their degrees, Janis has obtained several certifications, including a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HRCI in 2014, a SHRM (Senior Certified Professional) certification from SHRM in 2015, and certifications in virtual facilitation, change management, and diversity and inclusion obtained in subsequent years.
