Valerie Barnett

Valerie Barnett has served as the General Counsel since January 2021 and Corporate Secretary since April 2021. Ms. Barnett served as Vice President, Legal and Corporate Secretary at Dermira, Inc., a biopharmaceutical 148company focused on dermatologic diseases, from 2015 to 2020 until its acquisition by Eli Lilly and Company. Ms. Barnett also served as Associate General Counsel at Fluidigm Corporation, a biotechnology tools company, from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, Ms. Barnett practiced law as a corporate and securities attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.

Ms. Barnett holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine and a J.D. from Cornell Law School.
