Kieran Dowling

Kieran Dowling has extensive work experience in database and software development, primarily in the pharmaceutical, oil & gas, and commodity trading industries. Kieran worked as a Senior Database Developer at Cytel starting in October 2020. Prior to that, they were a Consultant Software Developer at WORKLINK SA from October 2017 to October 2020, where they specialized in data management and utilized technologies such as Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL. Before that, they worked as a Senior Data Architect at Swisscom from March 2015 to September 2017, where they were responsible for integrating multiple trading databases into a single communal database and system. Kieran served as the Head Database Development at Merck Serono from September 1999 to January 2013. Earlier in their career, they held various roles at Petroconsultants S.A. and Petroconsultants Ltd, where they worked as a Project Manager, Senior Software Developer, and Consultant.

Kieran Dowling attended Benildus College in Dublin, Ireland from 1974 to 1976 where they obtained their Leaving Certificate. Kieran then went on to attend the Irish Computer Training School from 1978 to 1979, where they received a Certificate in Computer and Information Sciences, General.

In addition to their formal education, Kieran Dowling has obtained several certifications from Microsoft. In August 2014, they obtained the MCSD: Web Applications certification, followed by the MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional certification in May 2014. Kieran also earned the MS: Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 Specialist certification in May 2014.
