Shih-Yun Chiu (Yunca)

Shih-Yun (Yunca) Chiu has a diverse work experience in the statistical programming field. Shih-Yun (Yunca) started their career as a Statistics Intern at iTag in 2009 and worked there until 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Mathematician contractor at Beckman Coulter. Later that year, they joined PAREXEL as a Statistical Programmer, where they were responsible for quality-control programming and implementing consistency checks in CDISC or other standard formats for databases built in CDMS and EDC. Shih-Yun (Yunca) worked at PAREXEL until 2014.

From 2014 to 2015, Shih-Yun worked at Covance as a Statistical Programmer II. Their responsibilities included developing and reviewing SAS programs and ensuring regulatory compliance in the creation of datasets, tables, listings, and graphs. Shih-Yun (Yunca) also maintained supporting documentation for studies.

In 2016, Shih-Yun joined Veristat LLC as a SAS Programmer II. Shih-Yun (Yunca) worked there until 2020, contributing to their statistical programming team.

Currently, Shih-Yun is working at Cytel since 2020. Shih-Yun (Yunca) started as a Senior SAS Programmer and later transitioned into the role of Principal Statistical Programmer and Manager in September 2021.

Shih-Yun (Yunca) Chiu pursued their education with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Statistics from National Taipei University, from 2002 to 2006. Shih-Yun (Yunca) furthered their studies in the field of Mathematical Statistics, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree from the University of Southern California between 2006 and 2008.
