Sophie van Beekhuizen

Senior Director Health Economics at Cytel

Sophie van Beekhuizen has a diverse work experience starting from 2011. Sophie worked as an Employee Facility Service at Theater aan het Vrijthof from August 2011 to August 2014. In 2016, they interned at Hemics from February to September and also worked as an Assistant Research Analyst and Hostess at SKIM from May 2016 to February 2017. Sophie joined Ingress-health in 2017 and held various roles including Junior Research Consultant from February 2017 to April 2018, Consultant from April 2018 to December 2018, Consultant Lead HEOR from January 2019 to December 2019, and Senior Consultant from January 2020 to April 2021. Currently, they are working at Cytel as a Director & Research Principal, starting from April 2021.

Sophie van Beekhuizen completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in European Public Health at Maastricht University from 2011 to 2014. In 2013, they participated in an Erasmus Exchange program at the University of Copenhagen. From 2014 to 2015, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in European Master of Health Economics & Management at Erasmus University Rotterdam. During this time, they also attended the Summerschool Bruxelles (EU-HEM) on the topic of Ageing in Europe. Sophie continued their education at the University of Oslo (UiO) from 2014 to 2016, completing a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in European Master in Health Economics and Management, specializing in Economic Evaluation. Additionally, in 2010 and 2011, they studied at Colegio Delibes in Salamanca, Spain, obtaining a B2 qualification.
