Vice President Bioprocess Downstream Hardware at Cytiva

Sara Corin has extensive work experience in the life sciences industry, primarily in the areas of downstream hardware and bioprocess systems. Sara currently serves as the Vice President of Bioprocess Downstream Hardware at Cytiva, where they oversee a team of 1400 people across four sites and is responsible for the development and supply of lab scale and large-scale downstream equipment. Prior to this role, they were the General Manager of Downstream Hardware at Cytiva, leading a team of 200 people and overseeing instruments such as the ÄKTA and Biacore platforms, AxiChrom columns, and Cytiva's single-use instrument portfolio.

Before joining Cytiva, Sara held several leadership positions at GE Healthcare. Sara served as the General Manager of BioProcess Downstream Hardware, managing the global downstream hardware business, including lab scale systems and manufacturing scale equipment for chromatography and filtration. Additionally, they held the role of Business Leader for Downstream BioProcess Standard Systems, where they led a team of product managers and product strategy managers, overseeing the product life cycle management and business strategy. Sara also had experience in strategic planning, commercial excellence, sales operations, and distribution planning within the corporate leadership staff at GE Healthcare.

Sara began their career at GE Healthcare as a Research Engineer and later worked as a Trainee in Strategic Marketing. Sara has a strong passion for the life sciences industry and has demonstrated a proven track record of leading successful teams and driving business growth.

Sara Corin earned their M.Sc. degree in Engineering from Uppsala University between 2000 and 2006. Additionally, they pursued studies in Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Math at The Ohio State University from 2002 to 2003.
