Senior Scientist at Cytokinetics

Christopher Evans is a Senior Scientist at Cytokinetics since September 2017, previously holding positions as a Medicinal Chemist and Graduate Student Researcher at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from July 2012 to August 2017. Their research has focused on the design, synthesis, and characterization of inhibitors for bacterial menaquinone biosynthesis, while collaborating closely with project teams. Christopher also gained experience during graduate studies at Weill Cornell Medicine and as an Undergraduate Researcher at Eastern Washington University, where key projects included the synthesis and biological testing of an antimicrobial polymer library and evaluation of metal chelation specificity. Christopher holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Medicinal Chemistry from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Eastern Washington University.
