Swara Desai-Shah

Swara Desai-Shah has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Swara currently works as an Associate Scientist at CytomX Therapeutics, where they collaborate with various teams to perform research scale probody-drug conjugation and quality control to support pipeline programs. Swara also develops conjugation processes and analytical methods for characterizing PDCs. Prior to this, Swara worked as a Senior Associate Scientist at Catalent Pharma Solutions, conducting pre-formulation and formulation preparation, testing, and analysis work. Swara performed HPLC analysis and ensured timely completion of required activities. Swara also has experience working as a Biochemist and Scientist 2 (HPLC Scientist) at Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories, where they provided analytical support for process development and performed protein analysis using techniques such as SEC, IEX, HIC, RP on HPLC and UPLC. Additionally, Swara worked as a Documentation Specialist at Novartis, auditing manufacturing and packaging batch records for compliance and reviewing data accuracy. Swara also worked as a QC Analyst at KP Pharmaceutical, where they performed stability studies, processed samples, calibrated and validated equipment, and evaluated analytical methods for improvement.

Swara Desai-Shah received their Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree with a specialization in Pharmacy from Gujarat Technological University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Later on, they pursued a Master's degree in Industrial Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Analysis at Campbell University from 2015 to 2017.
