Vangipuram Rangan

Vangipuram Rangan has a diverse work experience in the field of protein sciences. They started their career as an Associate Scientist at the Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute in 1989. In 2001, they joined Medarex where they held a Director role and were responsible for building infrastructure and developing analytical tests to support various antibody programs. They also played a crucial role in the transition of antibody production methods. When Medarex was acquired by Bristol-Myers Squibb in 2009, Vangipuram continued working as a Senior Director in the Protein Chemistry department. In this role, they led antibody production, purification, and characterization processes and were responsible for providing high-quality antibodies for different biologics programs. They also led antibody drug conjugate analytics, enzymology, PK/PD, and mechanism of action studies. In 2018, Vangipuram joined CytomX Therapeutics as an Executive Director, where they currently oversee Protein Sciences.

Vangipuram Rangan obtained their PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Mysore, where they studied from 1983 to 1988.
