Smiti Narayanan

Smiti Narayanan has a diverse range of work experience in the biomedical engineering field.

Currently, they are working as a Biomedical Engineer I at Cytovale since March 2022. Prior to this, they were a Research Associate at the same company from August 2020 to February 2022.

Smiti has also been involved with the Biomedical Engineering Society at UCLA. Smiti served as the Technical Projects Vice President from May 2019 to June 2020 and as the Design Team Project Manager from June 2018 to June 2019. Additionally, they were part of the Community Outreach Committee and the ECG Build Team from October 2017 to June 2018.

As an undergraduate, Smiti worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Biomimetic Research Lab from October 2018 to June 2020.

Smiti gained industry experience through internships at Medtronic and Varian Medical Systems. At Medtronic, they worked as an R&D Engineering Intern from June 2019 to September 2019, where they were involved in various tasks including conducting testing, creating concept designs, and generating CAD models. At Varian Medical Systems, they worked as a Regulatory Operations Intern from June 2018 to September 2018.

Smiti also had roles in the IEEE Student Branch UCLA as an Open Project Space Member from October 2017 to June 2018, and as a Camp Assistant at The Science Factory from June 2017 to August 2017.

Smiti Narayanan completed their education chronologically as follows:

From 2012 to 2016, Smiti attended Cupertino High School, where they obtained a high school diploma.

In 2016, they enrolled at UCLA and pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Bioengineering. Smiti completed their undergraduate studies in 2020.

In July 2020, Smiti obtained a certification in "Databases and SQL for Data Science" from Coursera.

Currently, from 2022 to 2024, they are pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University.
