Jim Hamilton has a diverse work experience spanning over 28 years.

Jim'smost recent role is as the Vice President of Channel at Cytracom, a company that provides managed voice, network, and security solutions for MSPs in North America. In this position, their main objective is to advocate for MSPs to Cytracom and vice versa.

Before joining Cytracom, Jim worked as a Professional Realtor & Real Estate Investor at Innovation Realty Ltd., where they assisted clients in achieving their real estate goals in the Ottawa area. Jim also managed investment properties.

Prior to their real estate ventures, Jim held various positions at CompTIA, the largest nonprofit technology trade association. There, they served as the Vice President of Member Communities, overseeing the overall strategy and direction for member communities, which play a crucial role in engaging with business segments in the industry.

Jim's experience with managed services providers (MSPs) includes working at Level Platforms as the Executive Director of MSP Partners, where they initiated and led a vendor-neutral managed services education program. Jim also held the position of Executive Director of Operations at Level Platforms, responsible for marketing operations, business processes, IT systems, and infrastructure.

In the early 2000s, Jim worked at Symbium Corporation as the Director of Channel Sales and Professional Services, where they played a significant role in sales strategy implementation for new products. Jim also held management positions at Ceyba, directing a team of IT professionals, and Nortel Networks, leading a group responsible for engineering and supporting the design environment within Nortel's Optical Networks division.

Additionally, Jim has experience in IT project management and system development from their roles at Newbridge Networks and American Management Systems.

Jim Hamilton obtained a BSc in Sciences from Dalhousie University, where they studied from 1986 to 1989. Jim then went on to pursue an MBA in International Management from the University of Ottawa, completing their degree between 1990 and 1992.
